With our two class groups offered for kids aged 5-9, we embrace our motto from the start.

Our grassroots style classes promote child confidence with a mixture of parental involvement in the early stages to increased physical and social concepts in the five-plus age groups.
Outdoor play
All of our classes take place outdoors where children benefit from everything that is outdoor play.

Our passionate coaches teach in a fun, friendly and expectation free environment where they can help your child develop their introduction to hockey with a view to beginning a healthy and active lifestyle for the future.
Fun environment
Our aim as a program is to get kids active in a sporting and educational environment. PlayStart Hockey is a great way to teach your child all the basic skills in a fun way to start their sporting journey.
We believe exercise is important in the development of all children
We have a firm belief that exercise is extremely important in the development of all children, with proven benefits across many aspects in life. The most obvious being fitness, strength and flexibility, as well as improving children’s ability to focus in class and deal with emotional challenges.
At PlayStart Hockey it’s all about play and FUN
Varied and fun hockey games are included in every class. Weekly, we mix up the games to work on various aspects of the game, whatever level your child is attending. Children play hockey to have fun. Whether 5 or 9, one of the main reasons they play is to enjoy their time on the pitch. Our obligation is to make sure that every child we coach has the opportunity to love the game of hockey. Hockey should be fun, and it's up to us, to make it enjoyable.
